Further, speaking on the subject, Aditi also described the importance of raising men with sensitivity. While she believes that women being educated will help the solve the problem of gender imbalance to an extent, bringing sensitivity in men will make it essential for them to have gender equality as an integral part of their lives.

Last seen in Daas Dev, which was another modern day and dark take of Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay’s Devdas, Aditi Rao Hydari also spoke about her career. While she is known for her unconventional roles, Aditi stated that she always gives her best irrespective of the screen time of her role. The actress, who as confessed by her, is working since 2010, is slowly and steadily trying to find her way in the industry.

Aditi Rao Hydari was also seen in the much acclaimed Padmaavat in which she played the role of Mehrunissa, the first wife of Alauddin Khilji, essayed by Ranveer Singh. The actress also shared screen space with Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor in the film.

It so happened, one of the contestants of Dance Deewane performed a robotic dance on Dance Deewane. During the same, Anil was so impressed by his performance that he decided to join the contestant on stage post his performance, for a small dance act. Whilst he shook a leg with him, he also invited Salman Khan on stage to do the same. The superstar enthusiastically obliged and joined Anil to perform on the song.

Furthermore, another couple of acts included Anil Kapoor’s performance on ‘My Name Is Lakhan’. It seems that one of the contestants of the show was a backup dancer in the same song whilst it was being shot for Ram Lakhan. Interestingly, Anil and Madhuri Dixit Nene, who was his co-star in the film, recognized the dancer and danced with him on the track too.

Jacqueline Fernandez, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah, Saqib Saleem, who comprise as the rest of the cast of Race 3, too turned guests for this reality show. They too danced to a few of their hits during their stint on Dance Deewane.

But now, according to speculative reports, Shahid Kapoor has decided to completely pull out of the film as he is not interested in going ahead with it. However, it has been asserted that the relation between the actor and the director remains unaffected, despite Shahid’s decision.

On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao has stepped in for Shahid’s role. There are some reports suggesting that this Imtiaz Ali film was ideally a two-hero project which already featured Rajkummar as the parallel lead.  These reports claim that Rajkummar decided to fill in the shoes of Shahid Kapoor after the latter decided to quit the project. And, now the makers are currently on a hunt to find yet another actor to essay Rao’s original role.

It is also being said that the scripting may require changes to suit Rajkummar’s personality. Speaking on Rao, his forthcoming films include Mental Hai Kya with Kangana Ranaut, Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with Sonam Kapoor and Fanne Khan with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Anil Kapoor.

As for Shahid Kapoor, his next includes Batti Gul Meter Chalu with Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. He is also said to have signed the remake of the Telugu blockbuster Arjun Reddy.

While it was earlier being said that the father-son Kapoor duo were taking off to Punjab for prep, it is now that Harshvardhan Kapoor has spoken about the said prep in an elaborate manner in media reports. The Mirzya actor revealed that he needs to ace the perfection game when it comes to shooting to understand Bindra. He spoke about the fervor of a sportsman by stating that it is not just about 10s but about acing it to the extent of 10.9s. He described it as digging into the mind of an obsessive athlete.

He also maintained that such people can’t have a life or relationships. They are generally isolated because they generally don’t let other people enter their space or zone. He also explained the crucial role of his father Anil Kapoor on screen since the film traces the equation of the older and younger Bindra and how their relation too goes through different phases.

On the other hand, Harshvardhan Kapoor also asserted that he needs to undergo some extensive physical change. From shedding 10 kgs to portray the role of the younger version of Abhinav Bindra to sporting buzz cut, the actor will be seen in a transformed avatar for the film. Not just that! Yet another missing element from his current off screen look will be his beard. Harsh will have to do away with his beard for his role as Abhinav.

Directed by Kannan Iyer, the Abhinav Bindra biopic [which is yet to be titled], will revolve around the life of the Olympic champion shooter. The release date of the film is yet to be announced.

Sushmita said, “But the difference is that at this age, the last time it happened was six months ago. I was at an awards function, you were there as well. A 15-year-old… 15! And because there were so many men, he thought I wouldn’t figure out who it was. That’s why I tell you, learn something regarding self-defence, it makes you very alert. So, I grabbed his hand, and I was so shocked when I pulled him up, that he was a little boy. 15 years old. Typically for misbehaviour like that, I could’ve taken lots of other actions. But because it was a 15-year-old boy, I grabbed him by his neck, as if I was saying hello to him, I took him for a walk in front of the crowd and told him, ‘If I make a hue and cry about this, your life will be over baccha.’ (He said) ‘I didn’t do’, I told him, ‘You did it, acknowledge it.’ (He said) ‘I’m sorry.’ ‘Do you know your life would be over.’ (He said) ‘I promise it will never happen.’ ‘No, if it does, I’ve seen your face, now get out of here.’”

Sushmita further said, “That’s the difference, I recognized in a 15-year-old boy that he’s not been taught that this kind of (behaviour) is not entertainment. It’s very big mistake. It can cost you the rest of your life.”

The actress was very clear on what kind of punishment should be given to sexual predators who abuse little girls and women. “But, grown men who are in our country indulging in worse and gangrapes, they should be hanged without a doubt. There should be no understanding of mercy for it, start hanging them and you’ll understand what are the consequences, whether you are in a city or a village. This I strongly believe. And then we’ll think of mercy in a better place to live,” she added.

On the work front, Sushmita Sen’s last Hindi film was No Problem in 2010, co-starring Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna and Kangana Ranaut. She, however, did a Bengali film, Nirbaak, in 2014.

On the other hand, speculative reports have been stating that the cast has been locked for the said venture. In our earlier report it was also mentioned, that the film is set against the backdrop of college and focuses on student drama. To be more specific, it revolves around the life of engineering college students and how to embrace the success-failure of lives. Incidentally, Sushant Singh Rajput has been an engineering student in the past but dropped out of the profession to pursue his dream of acting.

As for Shraddha Kapoor, the makers are yet to make the announcement since the actress is yet to sign on the dotted line. She also has a few projects that are currently in the pipeline. While she has almost wrapped up the multi-lingual, Prabhas starrer Saaho, her next would be the Saina Nehwal biopic.

Sushant Singh Rajput, as of now, has finished Abhishek Chaubey’s Son Chiriya. He has now shifted focus to the much delayed Kedarnath which is supposed to mark the debut of Sara Ali Khan.

Hence, considering the hectic schedule of the duo, it is being said that this Nitesh Tiwari directorial may only go on floor in November. The two of them are expected to allot dates in bulk since the makers are keen on having a start-to-end shoot schedule.

As far as his research for the film is concerned, Shoojit Sircar went on to confess that he wanted to make a film on Udham Singh since the time he arrived in Mumbai. Although he ended up making some versatile films in the past, this will be Shoojit’s first film on a patriotic martyr.

Speaking on how he has always idolized Udham Singh, Shoojit stated that this hero, despite his sacrifices hasn’t found his name in history. After Bhagat Singh, the work of Udham Singh was one of the major turning points in history. He mentioned that he visited Amritsar and Jallianwala Bagh in Punjab during his theatre days in 1995. That’s when he got inspired by the story of Singh who killed the then Lieutenant Governor of Punjab, Sir Michael O’Dwyer. The revolutionary did so to avenge the 1919 massacre.

On the other hand, Shoojit also confirmed that Irrfan Khan fits the bill perfectly. He believes that Irrfan has the finesse and depth that is required to play Udham Singh. Adding to it is also the fact that Irrfan is aware of the history of Punjab.

As mentioned before, Shoojit is expecting to kick off the film by the end of this year.
